Early in 2019, “Modern Pastry and Chocolates Boutique” is established in an attempt to bring authentic French-style modern pastry to Pulau Langkawi, Malaysia. For more than 19 years ago, our own Pastry chef, Mr. Faizal, started his profession as Fine Dining Pastry Chef and served wide ranges of renowned Asian 5 star hotels, resorts and beyond, which include Perdana Resort Langkawi, Malaysia, Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, Malaysia, Four Seasons Hotel Macao, China, The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort Pahang, Malaysia and The Danna Langkawi, Malaysia.
Later in 2017 and 2018, our Pastry Chef took Backaldrin Hand On Bread Training in Austria , Valrhona Tokyo Hand On Training Entremet and Tart in Tokyo, Valrhona Tain-I’hermitage France Hand On Training Entremet, Cake and Chocolate in France and attended Fechlin Chocolate Hand on Training at Fechlin Chocolate Condirama Institute in Switzerland. Fortunately, those precious opportunities have given him a golden chance to visit chocolates factory, cakes, tarts and chocolates boutiques all around the city town of those visiting countries. Such continued worldwide trainings have been his effort to bring back authentic modern world class methods and experiences to Malaysia-Asian country, looking to combine locally tropical ingredients into French pastry, making our modern pastry delicacy popular and stand out among locals’ people and tourists! He reworked the eclair, making them available in number of different tropical flavours. He also rethought the recipe for fine dining cakes, making the texture lighter and in numerous of different flavours. We strive to serve our customer the best modern pastry recipe where everything is crafted locally from the highest quality ingredients.
